Corrosion-resistant stainless steel protection
The pitting corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel seamless pipes and duplex stainless steel seamless pipes (cannot be used for ferritic stainless steel seamless pipes) can be predicted by pitting corrosion resistance equivalent (PREN):
PREN=Cr 3.3(For 0.5W) xN[1]
Among them, Cr, Mo, W and N are equal to the content of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten and nitrogen in the material. These alloying elements all play a positive role in pitting corrosion resistance. For duplex stainless steel seamless pipe, x = 16, for austenitic stainless steel seamless pipe, x = 30.
In the design of Tianwan nuclear power plant, the 2507 duplex stainless steel seamless pipe is used in the important plant water pipeline of the nuclear island to transport seawater, and the actual operation is good.
Suggestions on Material Selection of Seawater Pipeline
Both carbon steel rubber-lined pipe and duplex stainless steel seamless pipe can play a good anti-corrosion effect and meet the strength requirements in transporting seawater. In actual use, the rubber-lined pipeline has low cost and long service life (the corrosion resistance of the rubber-lined equipment will not be reduced after 20 years of use), but the construction is complicated, and the rubber lining of the adjustment section must be carried out in a professional factory outside the site, which has a significant impact on the construction progress. The duplex stainless steel seamless pipe can be welded, easy to install, long life, is an ideal choice, but in the past design because of the high price is not selected. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of steel technology, the output and consumption of duplex stainless steel seamless pipe are increasing, and the price is also decreasing step by step. In the future, the use of duplex stainless steel seamless pipe in engineering will be the development trend.
Suggestions on anticorrosion of power plant
According to statistics, during the entire operation period of the power station, the metal lost due to corrosion and wear accounts for about 8% of its original weight. The failure caused by corrosion of individual components and parts is a great loss to the operation of the power plant. Anti-corrosion of power station is a complex and extensive work, which needs to be controlled from design, supervision, construction and operation. The cavitation failure of 316L stainless steel seamless pipe described in this paper is a result of the comprehensive influence of various factors from material selection to construction and operation, and the harm it brings is obvious. In addition, the carbon dioxide corrosion of the low-pressure water supply system, the oxygen corrosion of the high-pressure heater, the oxygen corrosion of the equipment during the shutdown stage, the intercrystalline corrosion and stress cracking of the heat transfer tube of the nuclear island evaporator, and the corrosion of the secondary side of the evaporator caused by the condenser leakage all bring great harm to the power station. Therefore, it is suggested to set up a special corrosion control team to monitor the whole process of design, manufacturing, storage and transportation, construction and operation from a professional point of view, so as to avoid and reduce the occurrence of corrosion. In addition, strengthen the basic knowledge of corrosion and protection of all technical personnel training, so that we understand from the principle, in the work can be consciously protected.
